Little angel

I think I am going to jinx it, but Sawyer has been so good lately.  He hasn't done the usual 2-year-old thing in months aka tantrums. (Especially awful when happening in stores).  He wakes up and rarely causes problems, I only know he's up half the time because I hear THUNK THUNK THUNK (he throws all the stuff out of his crib and jumps up and down the mattress "mommy, jumping!").  He puts on whatever clothes I want him to when he used to kick me when I tried to put pants on or run away when I tried to dress him. Sometimes he picks his own clothes. He puts on his own boots.  He runs right into daycare without worrying about me leaving.  He tells us when he is hungry or thirsty and exactly what he wants (usually apple juice, eggs, or a sandwich lol he is kind of picky now unless he sees daddy eating something then comes and eats half of that).  When we ask him to do something and he says "no", he will quickly change when we say his name in a warning way.  He goes completely in the potty and hasn't even had an "accident" at daycare all week so he is allowed to wear underwear there now (he had to wear pull-ups there which confused him because they feel like diapers).  He even peed and dumped the bowl himself without us knowing one time.  He always says please and thank you.  He talks in pretty good sentences, but that is kind of a problem understanding him now because he talks so fast that the words run together.  He sings along to songs on the TV and answers the questions the characters ask (he is getting so smart!) He also goes to bed well.  He agrees and will lay right down as long as all his stuffed toys are in there (scout, elmo, broccoli, carrot, mater) and his blanket is on.  He also says the funniest things out of nowhere.

Everyone always tells us (to the point it gets annoying) "They only get worse!  Just wait until 3!"  so I am taking this as the calm before the storm.  Especially with a new sibling, I know he will act out so we are just enjoying the cute little fuzzy-headed angel while we can.  At least we are able to use logic with him more and more so we can explain what he is doing or needs to do and he understands.

Not much related, but funny: We went to the mall for a pretzel and orange julius and told him he could have the rest of the cheese so he was dipping his fingers in there.
