Something we have all had to deal with since our family became four is setting priorities and being patient. Generally, Kellan eating takes top priority since he is tiny and doesn't have the ability to learn patience...and he will start screaming if he doesn't eat right away which is unpleasant for all of us. The only thing that trumps his eating is if Sawyer has to go potty- I don't want to have to clean up any accidents because he had to wait 5 more minutes than he could hold it in. Sawyer has been really good, waiting patiently for his juice or bagel or whatever he needs while I do something for the baby. He always just says "okay" when I tell him 5 more minutes.
Unfortunately today, this system was briefly tested. I was feeding Kellan a bottle and Sawyer comes running up "I have to go pee!" I quickly put Kellan in his bouncer and as I walk to the bathroom, the phone rings. I put it on speaker phone and set it on the bathroom sink and answer. I unbuttoned Sawyer's pants and hear a scream of death from Kellan. He is crying harder than ever! I wondered if he had somehow fallen out of the bouncer. I run out of the bathroom and found milk spit up everywhere, out of his nose, on his clothes, and there was even a drop on top of his head (...how?) I told my mom I had to hang up. I run back into the bathroom and throw Sawyer on the toilet as fast as I could (not even using his potty seat) and run back out and peel Kellan's clothes and diaper off. He screams bloody murder while I wipe him down with baby wipes and I leave him naked while I go take Sawyer off the toilet. I was then able to take Kellan upstairs to get him dressed again. While I'm fastening his onesie snaps, Andy gets home just 5 minutes too late to help. I am sure this is just the beginning.
On a positive note, I found Sawyer like this today:
I'm glad I insisted on getting that firefighter (or as Sawyer calls it a "fighter-fighter") hat from the chocolate walk even though Sawyer said he didn't want one at the time.
I wish I could get him to pick up his toys better though lol, I got him to pick up like 5 toys throughout the day, but 3 of those times he ended up bringing out a new toy. Classic.

Anna's wedding
A lot of the Holtz cousins are getting married around this time. Eric just got married a few weeks ago, Anna got married today, Tommy is getting married June 1st, Erik and Destiny are having their reception June 9th, Peter is getting married sometime soon (they don't know when yet), and Angelica is getting married soon too. I'm not complaining though because I love to hang out with everyone :)
The wedding today was pretty fun. They had a nice ceremony, and we all got to hang out. There was good food too so who can complain?
Announcing Anna and Andy as husband and wife
Sawyer thought everyone clapping was hilarious
Cake
Yes, there was a conga line, and Sawyer LOVED it- he was laughing the entire time and never let go of the girl in front of him!
My cousin Sergei always catches the garter- he caught the one at our wedding too!
Kellan was passed around the whole time. Here's my mom with him
Sawyer loved the chocolate fountain fruit the best
Handsome little guy, and he is finally wearing his Tiny TOMS
Sawyer loved "super cheers"
Decorations on the table- Anna did the artwork for everything
This will be appearing at other weddings and I am excited
The fanciest cake I've ever seen
Me and Sawyer dancing :)
After everything was done, Sawyer was a big help and brought boxes where they were needed...then he just started loading empty boxes into the Uhaul...
He didn't even want to leave afterwards, he just wanted to ride in the Uhaul again :/

Finally got outside
Today was the perfect weather. You know, about 70 degrees so you aren't too hot or too cold. Though with the sun beating on you it starts to get a little warm. I got all of us dressed and we walked up to the neighborhood park. It was good progress, and hopefully I don't end up sore tomorrow. Me and Kel hung out on/by the bench while Sawyer played on the toys.
Here is when Kellan pooped out of his diaper and I had a lovely time using 20 wipes to get it off of everything (including my own shorts) while he screamed at me :( New clothes required
When Andy got home he made burgers- check out how tall his is!
Love these little guys!

Twins
Before Kellan was born, Andy and I always talked about how weird it would be because Sawyer looks like both of us, and it would be weird to have another kid that looks different from Sawyer. Maybe he'd look like both of us too, but in the complete opposite way. Well, now that he's born, we still don't get that...they look almost exactly alike! Here is a comparison...the angle is a little different and they are making different mouths, but they DO make the same mouths at certain points so we see it every day.
It was super warm outside today! I wish I could do more activities :( I went outside with Sawyer for a few minutes though and he took off running up the street. I yelled after him "too far" because I can't run up with him or even walk fast and he kept going so he got in trouble and had to take a nap. We left the door open all day though so we got some fresh air. I took a few pictures of Kellan outside but he wasn't really having it. I noticed I can get him to smile a lot of times by smiling at him and rubbing his cheek while talking to him. It's so cute.
He was a doozy last night though. Lately we've been having to set our alarms for 4 or 5 hours at night because he will go too long without eating, but last night/this morning he woke up to eat every 2 hours. I was so tired that we didn't get out of bed until 11am haha. Sawyer normally sleeps in our bed after Andy leaves and doesn't wake up until 10-ish anyway, and just played Cars youtube on my phone while I slept the rest. Kel slept through most of yesterday though. Hopefully tonight is better because he's been awake most of the day.

32
Andy's birthday was yesterday!
We didn't do anything, but my awesome mom came over in the morning and brought us a dinner. She made everything ready-to-go even putting the water in the pots so I just had to turn everything on when he got home. She also cleaned the dishes for us. Thanks mom!!!

Almost Andy's birthday
Andy's birthday is tomorrow, but today is the weekend so we went to go get his present. He already picked out a new "halo" sweatband at REI for running, and wanted to get some Sounders socks for the rest of his present. We both like running in tall socks. It feels really weird to run without them once you're used to them (I got used to them from rugby, and he wore them in winter to stay warm). It's like running without spandex shorts (bad idea, I did that once). Anyways, we had to go to the team store at the Southcenter mall to get them.
We started out at the coffee shop, and Sawyer got his "thtwawbewy meelk" (sound that one out)
We walked around the mall and I'm proud to say I didn't buy a thing :) even with Andy trying to convince me to go in Gilly Hicks since they had 50% off clearance items but I said I didn't need anything. When we were done we were hungry so we went to Claim Jumper.
I may have convinced Andy to let us get their giant chocolate cake piece for his birthday. (no, we did not eat it all in one swoop, even with 3 of us)
Andy went to Walmart while me and the boys stayed at my parents house to visit for a little bit- it is their anniversary today- HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MOM AND DAD! They stayed in a cabin at Mt. Rainier this weekend.
We got home and here Sawyer said he wanted to read Kellan a story- it was cute, he is reading him "Good night, gorilla." By the way, Kellan managed to roll over here lol. Sawyer used to roll over this early too though, I think it is because they have giant heads and tiny shoulders. Sawyer stopped once his body grew a little more proportionate to head size.

The week in review
Andy went back to work this week and it was just me and the kids.
Not going to lie, it was rough. They told me things at the hospital to make the healing faster- avoid stairs for a couple weeks don't lift anything heavier than the baby, try to rest, and if you start bleeding more than usual it means you are doing too much. The problem: the bedroom and laundry room is upstairs (along with the big bathrooms), I had 2 appointments this week, Sawyer fell asleep in the car once so I got to carry him upstairs, and apparently "too much" is just bare minimum tasks. I would get downstairs and get settled on the couch for awhile and Sawyer having to go potty would make me tear up. The worst was trying to change Kellan since I'd have to sit on the floor. I am glad Sawyer doesn't eat much normally because a few days he barely ate anything :( It was pretty bad, and didn't really have anyone that could help...and how do you ask for that? "Hey, can you come over and do everything for me?" I think yesterday it started to get better though. It still really hurts to walk, but I can sit and do basic things again, and washing bottles or changing diapers doesn't make me want to cry. Hopefully next work is a bit easier if I can rest this weekend.
