Pierce County Fair

Today we decided to go to the Pierce County Fair.  It was only a stoplight away from ours (once you get to meridian) so we decided to walk.  It was really sunny out and I hadn't eaten anything yet all day, so that was the longest walk ever!  It was only about a mile and a half there though.

We got there and Sawyer loved looking at the rides.  He was too small for all of them though.

We headed straight down the food row.  I love fair food but had to pick.  We got Sawyer a pizza, and we went to the Asian tent.  I also got a delicious strawberry lemonade.

Next we went to look at the animals.  The local 4H kids had sheep, goats, rabbits, horses, guinea pigs alpacas, dogs, cats, and cows, but nothing excited Sawyer more than the pigs. There were 9 babies with their mama that we had to stay for 10 minutes to watch because he loved them so much.

Moo cow

My favorites were these baby bunnies
Afterwards we went over to the Graham Fire booth and Sawyer got to put on a jacket and drive the truck.

Afterwards we went to get some cold drinks.  I got Hawaiian shave ice and Andy got a Coke float.  Sawyer shared with us then went to go jump off things as usual.

After that we stopped in a few more 4H houses and then watched the Wenatchee youth circus while Sawyer made new friends.
This kid was flipping over all the ones on the ground

We decided it was time to go so we headed out.  On the way along the road I found a flower meadow hiding behind some trees right as the sun was setting so I made Andy stop so we could take a few pictures.
We had to go through that little hole

It wasn't the Puyallup Fair, but it got us excited for it and was a fun way to spend a Saturday for $5.  I think Sawyer had as much fun as we had and we got outside and got a little exercise!
