It was finally time. Ever since the commercials started coming on (even before that) Sawyer has to yell "PLANES!" Every time we said "Guess what we're doing?" He'd reply "Disney Planes?" No, not quite yet. He already knew Dusty Crophopper and Rip Slinger (Though he calls him Dusny Crubopper). We were so excited Sunday to tell him it was finally time.
We pulled up to the movie theater and he immediately ran up to the poster.
He was wearing his Dusty shirt thanks to Grandma Smith ("My other grandma bought it for me"). I guess I should mention that it was Kellan's first movie too, but he won't remember it ;) We had a gift card and movie tickets since we never go to movies so we splurged and went for the full experience with popcorn, candy, and giant coke. Sawyer was loving it. It was 10:30 so the theater was all toddlers, which was good because we had him and a baby. First thing Dusty comes on the screen and some boy yells "It's Dusty!" and Sawyer points at him and was like "He called him Dusty! Its Dusty Crophopper!" We had to try to teach him to be quiet.
He did pretty well. He got antsy about halfway through (so did the entire theater of kids actually) and said he wanted to go home but he soon got over it, he just stood up for the rest of the movie. Afterwards he said it was the greatest movie ever! It was not as good as Cars and was pretty predictable so I hope he doesn't make us watch it as much as Cars, but it wasn't bad. As we walked out of the theater, 10 planes flew by over us, it was pretty funny.
We went to Mod Pizza after stopping by Target to get Sawyer a toy Plane. We didn't want to buy any toys until he saw the movie.
He sleeps with Dusty now :)
YAY! He got to finally see Planes!
