Weekend Antics

Saturday we went to our friend Jordan's wedding reception.  It was pretty fun and they had some good ideas.  They had poloroids that they used as a "guest book" so they posted all the pictures on a string and can use them later to see who came.  It was also a bit of a "rat pack" theme so everyone was supposed to try a bit to dress accordingly.  Here is how Sawyer turned out:

Saturday we went to Ikea to get bookshelves/decorations.  We found the ones I wanted, and a cute stuffed carrot for Sawyer that he loved.  They had a slightly cuter broccoli, but we let him pick and he picked the carrot...plus it was cuddlier.

We realized we had only brought the car, and proceeded to fold down seats, and arrange everything to squish in the giant boxes.

Sawyer was pretty sleepy the whole time, but perked right up when we went to our favorite sandwich shop, Jersey Mike's....and kids eat free on Sundays!  We didn't know that ahead of time and saved us like $4 :)

He ate the whole thing (except a wad of bread.)

We got home and took apart the boxes to find...they didn't include any hardware!  We called cust service and they said we could either go back to the store in Tukwila or wait 14 days for them to ship it from Sweden.  We got Sawyer out of bed and drove back up.

Good news is they gave us a $15 gift card for our troubles.  We used it to buy the cute lanterns we were eyeing earlier...but on the way out I spotted the exact kind of picture frames I wanted and they were only $2 so we ended up spending more money lol.

We got home and Andy put together the bookshelf...plus hung our big photo (wall still bare) and put up the "M" I made out of the Good Will frame and letter I bought with the pictures around it.  YAY!  We watched that movie The Change Up.  It was quite an adventure but I am glad we finally have some decorations up.
