July 4th Ocean Shores

I'll try not to ramble about our trip to Ocean Shores for the 4th of July.

Basically, we went with the Webbs and Berners and stayed at Ocean City state park in Ocean Shores.

It was very sunny, but very cold with the wind.  I still got a bit of a tan laying out in the sun (if you lay below the wind it isnt so cold).

Sawyer was sick the whole time possibly getting new teeth so he was kind of a butt head mixed with the cold and lack of things to do.  We slept with him for the first time the 3 nights and it was not an easy task.  He would randomly wake up and try to crawl away.  He didn't enjoy the ocean much either.

We are kind of "lazy" vacationers so we pretty much just putt-putted around and went with the flow.  We did go into town and I got a pair of pants that say "tsunami evacuation instructions" on the front and "run like hell" on the butt. I thought it was hilarious because all along the coast you see those tsunami evacuation signs and I wish one of them just said that.

On the actual 4th, we went to the beach at sunset (our campsite is about a 5 minute walk to the beach- there is a trail) and found the highest dune to plant our chairs and watch the fireworks.  The beach was packed with people and nonstop fireworks, and the casino was just to our left with a huge professional display.  It was awesome!  Definitely the place to be, if only it was a little warmer!

Anyway, here are some pictures (some of which came from Jill or Tyrell's blog that I stole ;] )

  2. Hi There,

I love your jump photos and am looking for a young family to incorporate into a poster for a family ministry we run at our church. Would you be willing to share the picture of your family with Central Community Church? We are willing to pay for the use of your photo, but will require a higher quality image.

Please contact Alex at office@central365.org. You can visit our website at www.central365.org to see what we are about. The ministry we are looking at using your photo for is Family Connections.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Alex
