5 months and some baby food

This little hoodlum is 5 months old.

He is so great.  Some milestones are that he rolls around, he can kinda scoot (gets up on his knees and elbows and tries to push forwards but only sometimes successful), he can stand if he leans on things, he is starting to walk his feet if we hold his arms and pull him forward instead of just falling forwards, he eats well off of a spoon, jumps in his jumperoo, and can sit for a few seconds at a time.  He also sleeps through most nights (if he wakes up we feed him with the lights off while rocking him and he will fall right back asleep when he finishes his bottle) usually if he wakes up it is around 6 so still a good stretch.

He likes grandma's exersaucer and turns around to the different toys

...and eating peaches out of his mesh (he will cry if you take it away)

and loves playing with Sawyer

We decided to make him some baby food with the stuff from the farmers market.  Destiny let us borrow her little baby food maker which was pretty cool.

You put it in the tube and press down while turning the crank and little mushed up versions come out.  Here we are doing plums.

Here's some apples we steamed to make them soft

We also did carrots

When we finished we put them in ice cube trays to freeze.

We ended up with quite a few.  We have a carrot/apple mix, squash/banana, green beans, and plum/pear/banana mix

We fed him a carrot apple today mixed with some rice cereal to make it thick (otherwise it runs down their face) and he was a fan!  I don't know if it was any cheaper but at least we knew we were getting non-processed organic produce to start with :)
