Tuesday was Andy's birthday so he met me at work (I took a half day) and we went to Paseo for his birthday lunch! If you don't know what Paseo is, it is a cuban sandwich shop (one in Ballard and one in Freemont) and it actually was like number one or two in Yelp's top restaurants in the country. The line is usually super long but we got there at a weird off-time and only had one person in front of us. Look up the address if you plan to go, there is no sign! It is very tasty and affordable!
The sandwiches are very messy though, you get a ton of napkins and moist towelettes. DO NOT GO THERE FOR A FIRST DATE! You will have stuff on your hands and teeth and you'll smell like sandwiches. Not always good ;)
I got the pork with ham and cheese and Andy got the scallop sandwich. Mine was huge so he got a lot of mine too. I'd recommend either. We have only been to the Ballard location which is right down the road from Golden Gardens so I recommend getting a sandwich then hitting the beach!
