Halloween Weekend

We didn't do too much that was Halloween-y this year.  Sawyer is so small that we couldn't take him trick-or-treating, and since he was here we couldn't really go out (well i didnt want to ask people to watch him).  We carved our pumpkins Saturday night.  Sawyer also tried his first bit of "real" food.  It was carrots- orange to match the season i guess :)  He sucked them down.  That night was bad for Andy (it was his night to get Sawyer) because he kept waking up all night!  I moved him into our bed in the morning to get some sleep because I think he just wanted attention. Today (Halloween) there was a sounders playoff game so Beany went to spend the evening and Grandma and Grandpa, complete with his SoyBean costume.  We also sent his cowboy costume (which he changed into for most of the night since the bean had no feet), and his football costume (which he is wearing to sleep).  The sounders lost, but it was really fun to watch and the crowd was super into it which was awesome.  Plus I like David Beckham and Landon Donovan and they play on the LA Galaxy so we got to see them.  Here are the pictures :)

They are both out from a long night.  I am wide awake and want some friends.:)

Happy Birthday Nate!

Last night we went over to Nate and Jill's house (our BMCFF's) because it was Nate's 25th birthday.  Jake and Tyrell and Julie and Troy were there and we played Balderdash which is one of my favorite games.  It was so funny what people can come up with!  I think i could play that game all night.  Sawyer also got to play with Everett, who is about 3 weeks older than him.  It was so cute, they held hands when we first put them together, but my dumb camera didnt catch it.  The night was really fun though- Happy Birthday Nate!

What's happening lately

I have a few updates today :)

-Sawyer went to the doctor today for his 4 month appt! We go every 2 months now so I have been excited to see how he has grown since he was 2 months old.  He is now 15 lbs 3 oz (50th Percentile) and 26.5 inches (90th Percentile).  He is doing well all over- he can roll (no good for us lol), stand if we hold his hands, and eats rice cereal really well now (goes after the spoon when he sees it coming), and has started to push up on his legs.  She said we can start mixing the rice cereal with orange vegetables to start and introduce 2 new foods a week.  He also got more shots.  He did the thing where they stab him and he cries twice.  I am happy we have a baby that doesnt cry unless he has a very good reason (like starving or hurt) and stops the second it goes away :)  She also said the rough spots on his legs are eczema and we just need to lotion him up and not soap his legs much.  Of course he was lotioned yesterday so it wasnt very bad as it can get but i'm glad she knew what it was. I love that mustela lotion!
4 months old!

-Sawyer has been waking up again at night because either he is hungry even though we stuff him before sleeping, or he has rolled over and has limbs hanging out of the crib. He normally wakes up once or twice and I do not enjoy it.  He does go right back to sleep though, but he has done that since he was born so no change there.

-As of yesterday, Sawyer started sucking his thumb.  He never did that before!  I asked the doctor and she said it is good in babies because they are self-soothers so i wont try to stop him.

-We got iPads at work so we have had to move the store around which is a hassle.  They are really cool though but i wouldnt spend $700+ on them because they are pretty much just giant iPhones which we already have.

-We went on a walk with Christine yesterday which was nice because we haven't seen her since she and her bf moved out of our house.  Sawyer was so much bigger.  We had to use my mom's stroller which sucked because i'm used to the awesome jogging one, but it was still fun.  We even found 2 snakes!

-My car is still broken.  The radiator melted.  Hopefully we fix it this weekend because since it broke, my parents were nice and my mom let me drive her Saab since Andy has to use the Pathfinder, so she is driving my dad's car, and he is stuck driving the giant truck which is a Ram 3500 dulie so it is huge and normally they just drive the camper and boat with it so you can imagine that giant thing being a pain using it to drive to work!  I am so happy they let me borrow their car though!

-It is starting to get dark earlier and it is kind of depressing.  It was dark when i got off work, but it was mostly clouds...i did see this awesome sky above the Target on my way to my car

Here is a picture of sawyer in action moving around the bar of his play gym.  It cracks me up!

Weekend Trip to Leavenworth (Photo Blog)

We went to Leavenworth this weekend with my mom and dad.  If you don't know what Leavenworth is, it is a Bavarian village in the mountains. It was very pretty since the leaves are still changing.  We went to all the little shops and went on a walk in the woods by the river.  We stayed in Wenatchee overnight.  On the way home we stopped and got boxes of apples. We also stopped in the outlets in North Bend and got a few outfits for Sawyer. I'll just let the tons of pictures i took tell most of it :)

This bench was just for them :)

Hat Shop

We didnt bring the carseat into the tavern so we had to improvise

Dad was poking the trees to make the leaves fall off

There was a wedding down the trail- so pretty

I think the only thing modern were the dishes on the side
